Comedian Tracy Morgan had an unexpected medical scare at Madison Square Garden during Monday night’s NBA matchup between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat. The 56-year-old star was seated courtside when he was suddenly seen wiping what appeared to be vomit from his face. A group of concerned individuals surrounded him before he was placed in a wheelchair and escorted away from the area.
Eyewitness footage from the game quickly surfaced online, showing the moment Morgan was taken away. The incident caused a brief delay in the game’s second half as arena staff cleaned up the area. However, the Knicks continued their dominant performance, securing a 116-95 victory over the Heat.
A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden, who also represents the Knicks, released a statement wishing Morgan a speedy recovery, saying, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.” Meanwhile, representatives for Morgan and the NBA have yet to provide further details on the comedian’s condition.
Morgan has faced significant health challenges in the past, including a life-threatening 2014 car accident that left him in a coma with a traumatic brain injury. Additionally, he underwent a kidney transplant in 2010.
Despite this recent scare, Morgan has remained active in the entertainment industry. Earlier this month, NBC announced that the comedian is set to star in a new comedy pilot, with “Saturday Night Live” alum Bobby Moynihan and Erika Alexander from “Living Single” joining the cast.
Fans and fellow celebrities have expressed concern and well wishes for Morgan’s health, hoping for a quick recovery and his return to courtside entertainment.
