The White Lotus Season 3: 5 Best & 5 Worst Characters
Spoilers ahead for the entire third season of The White Lotus.
Mike White's third installment of The White Lotus takes us to a lavish Thai resort filled with new guests, familiar faces, and plenty of backstabbing. With twisted family dynamics, scandalous secrets, and a body count by the finale, fans have lots to unpack.
While some characters shined (or shocked), others floundered or faded into the background. So, who ruled the resort and who checked out a mess? Here's our take on the 5 best and 5 worst characters from The White Lotus Season 3.
🔥 Best Characters
1. Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey)
Parker Posey devours every scene as the pill-popping, wine-loving matriarch of the Ratliff clan. She’s chaotic, delusional, and hilariously unaware—making her an unforgettable part of this season’s drama.
2. Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell)
Finally getting some justice, Belinda returns from Season 1 and bags a cool $5 million. She’s wiser, more confident, and unapologetically puts herself first this time—an earned win.
3. Laurie Duffy (Carrie Coon)
Laurie goes from third wheel to empowered solo traveler. After a rollercoaster of self-worth and betrayal, she drops the perfect shade-filled speech to her friends. Carrie Coon? Always a queen.
4. Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood)
Pure-hearted and loyal to a fault, Chelsea’s tragic end hits hard. Her dreamy outfits, quirky one-liners, and sincere devotion to Rick make her the season’s most lovable soul.
5. Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola)
Messy, curious, and far too grown-up for his age, Lochlan walks a controversial path this season. But Nivola brings complexity to a teenager caught in emotional chaos.
💣 Worst Characters
1. Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs)
A walking midlife crisis, Timothy brings crime, chaos, and zero character growth. His plot fizzles into nothing, despite Isaacs’ solid performance.
2. Greg Hunt aka "Gary" (Jon Gries)
Still the worst. Greg’s sleazy Thailand glow-up doesn’t make up for his shady past, Tanya’s death, or his overall garbage vibes. We need justice in Season 4.
3. Jaclyn Lemon (Michelle Monaghan)
Toxic friend alert! Jaclyn uses her fame to fund a girls' trip, only to turn around and gaslight her besties. Her reality-TV charm can’t hide her cruel streak.
4. Saxon Ratliff (Patrick Schwarzenegger)
Starts off provocative, ends up painfully boring. Saxon’s arc—complete with yacht escapades and unresolved tension—feels like a half-written subplot.
5. Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins)
A bro with a temper and no real depth, Rick meets his end but never becomes more than Chelsea’s moody man. His arc? Loud, shallow, and forgettable.
👀 Final Thoughts
Season 3 wasn’t perfect, but it gave us wild moments, stunning backdrops, and character dynamics we won’t soon forget. Here’s hoping Season 4 brings even more chaos—and maybe finally takes Greg down for good.
