Dan Bernstein Fired from 670 The Score After Threatening to Dox Social Media User

Longtime Chicago sports radio host Dan Bernstein is officially out at 670 The Score following a controversial social media exchange that led to his termination.

What Led to Bernstein’s Firing?

Bernstein, who had been with The Score since 1995, was let go after a heated argument on X (formerly Twitter) where he threatened to dox another user.

The situation escalated after the user accused Bernstein of killing a fish in a photo he had posted. In response, Bernstein:

  • Challenged the user to a fight

  • Claimed to have their personal address and phone number

  • Threatened to make the information public

  • Brought up the user’s children

Following the incident, his co-host Marshall Harris announced that Bernstein would be off-air for the week, but now, the decision has been made permanent.

Official Statement from 670 The Score

During Friday’s midday show, Mitch Rosen, vice president and brand manager of The Score, made the on-air announcement:

"We are announcing today that Dan Bernstein no longer works at The Score. We wish him nothing but the best and thank him for his time and service."

A Controversial Legacy

Bernstein was a mainstay in Chicago sports radio for nearly 30 years, but this isn't the first time he made headlines for controversy. Just last year, he feuded with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy over comments about Barstool Eddie.

With his departure, fans are left wondering what’s next for The Score’s lineup and whether Bernstein will find a new platform.
