Drake Slams Former Friends in Fallout  From Kendrick Lamar Beef on Surprise Single ‘What Did I Miss?’

Drake has officially broken his silence following the explosive rap battle with Kendrick Lamar—and he’s coming with fire. The Toronto rapper shocked fans with the surprise release of his new single “What Did I Miss?”, a blistering track that doesn’t just throw shade at Kendrick but also calls out disloyal friends who stood on the sidelines during the drama.

“You n—s was standing beside me / How can some people I love hang around pussies who try me?” he raps with venom, clearly addressing the silence or perceived betrayal by those in his inner circle.

Drake also directly references Kendrick’s historic homecoming event, The Pop Out, saying:
“I’m back in your city tonight, walkin’ around with my head high / I saw bro at the Pop Out with them but been dick riding gang since ‘Headlines.’”
It’s a pointed line aimed at those trying to align with both sides, and it’s clear Drake isn’t letting it slide.

The single dropped during an elaborate livestream titled “Iceman: Episode 1,” where Drake drove around Toronto in a truck branded with a fake phone number and a cryptic URL (the-iceman.com). After a cinematic intro in a warehouse, Drake transitioned into a surreal performance of the track inside a walk-in freezer, surrounded by firearms and memories of his younger self.

Fans now suspect this is all a build-up to his next studio album, potentially titled “Iceman”, which Drake has been teasing subtly on Instagram. The rollout, the energy, and the bars all hint at a new chapter—and maybe, a more ruthless Drake than ever before.

With “What Did I Miss?”, Drake sends a clear message: the battle may be over, but the fallout is just beginning.
