Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ Gets Official Title: ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
Peter Parker’s journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is far from over! Sony and Marvel have officially titled the next Spider-Man installment “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Announced at CinemaCon by director Destin Daniel Cretton, the highly anticipated fourquel is set to begin filming this summer, with a release date locked in for July 31, 2026.
Although Tom Holland wasn’t present at the event in Las Vegas, he sent a special video message teasing what’s to come for the beloved web-slinger.
“I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”
Given Holland’s history of accidentally revealing Marvel secrets, his restraint was impressive.
A New Chapter for Peter Parker 🕷️
The previous film, Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), left fans with an emotional and mind-bending ending. After Peter Parker shattered the multiverse, he made the heartbreaking decision to erase his identity from the world, leaving him completely alone.
With “Brand New Day” serving as the title, speculation is running wild about what’s next for Peter. The name references a popular Spider-Man comic arc in which Peter’s past is magically erased—though it remains to be seen if the film will follow that storyline.
“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world,” Cretton revealed. “We’re nerding out daily over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Who’s Returning for ‘Brand New Day’? 🎭
So far, familiar faces are expected to return:
✔️ Zendaya as MJ
✔️ Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds
And there’s an exciting new addition to the cast: Sadie Sink, best known for her role in Stranger Things. While her role hasn’t been confirmed, strong rumors suggest she could be playing Jean Grey, marking the X-Men’s entrance into the MCU.
It remains unclear who else from the Marvel Universe will be joining Holland’s Spidey this time around.
The Box Office Power of Spider-Man 💰
Theater owners are eager for Spidey’s return, given the massive success of Holland’s past Spider-Man movies:
📌 Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) – $880 million
📌 Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) – $1.13 billion
📌 Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) – $1.9 billion
With “Brand New Day” promising a new era for Peter Parker, expectations are sky-high for another blockbuster hit.
“I would never pass up the opportunity to say a massive ‘thank you’ for all of your support for all of our ‘Spider-Man’ movies,” Holland told the crowd.
When Will We See the First Trailer? 🎥
With filming set to begin this summer, the first teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will likely debut in late 2025 or early 2026. Until then, fans can only speculate on what’s in store for Spidey’s next adventure.
