Judge Warns Against Media Influence in Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni Case

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni amid their ongoing legal battle, with a judge warning against media influence.

The legal showdown between Gossip Girl star Blake Lively and It Ends With Us actor Justin Baldoni just took another dramatic turn. A federal judge has warned both legal teams against media influence, even threatening to move the highly anticipated March 2026 trial date.

Lively accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment during filming, while Baldoni is hitting back with a massive $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane.

In court, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, argued that his client has suffered “hundreds of millions of dollars in damages” due to the allegations and an alleged media smear campaign. However, Judge Lewis J. Liman has imposed strict restrictions on public statements to ensure a fair trial.

Lively and Reynolds’ lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, welcomed the ruling, stating, “This case involves serious allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation. We will hold the defendants accountable.”

Tensions were high in court as both sides accused each other of manipulating media narratives. Freedman claimed that Lively worked with The New York Times on a December exposé about Hollywood smear tactics. Meanwhile, Lively’s team pushed for a protective order against Freedman’s public statements.

Adding to the legal chaos, Baldoni’s attorneys revealed plans to withdraw a separate $250 million lawsuit in Los Angeles, choosing instead to add The New York Times as a defendant in their $400 million defamation case.

With ongoing depositions and legal filings, this high-profile battle is far from over. Stay tuned for updates as the courtroom drama unfolds!
