Jordana Brewster on Fast & Furious Drama: Vin Diesel & The Rock’s Feud

Jordana Brewster reflects on Fast & Furious cast dynamics and addresses Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's rumored feud.

The Fast & Furious franchise has always been about family—both on and off-screen. Actress Jordana Brewster, 44, recently opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the cast dynamics and addressed the much-discussed feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

“Families are also dysfunctional, and we’ve got the drama,” Brewster said, reflecting on the tension that’s brewed since 2016, when Johnson made a cryptic Instagram post seemingly aimed at Diesel while filming The Fate of the Furious.

Although Johnson stepped away from the franchise in 2021, his surprise cameo in 2023’s Fast X thrilled fans, sparking rumors of his return. At this year’s Golden Globes, Diesel fueled reconciliation hopes by publicly acknowledging Johnson, later posting an old photo of the two on Instagram with the heartfelt caption: “All love… Always…”

Brewster praised Diesel’s dedication to the franchise, saying, “Vin’s so invested and creative—it’s inspiring to see how things evolve.”

Fast X: Part 2 Returning to Los Angeles

In an emotional Instagram update, Diesel confirmed that Fast X: Part 2 will begin production in Los Angeles, the birthplace of the franchise 25 years ago. Diesel noted that the decision was made to support the city after recent wildfires.

While fans eagerly await news on the release date, Brewster’s reflections remind us that even in the midst of drama, the Fast family’s bond remains unbreakable.
