Halle Bailey Voices Frustration Over DDG's Livestream with Son Halo, Calls for Boundaries

Halle Bailey shares frustration over son Halo’s appearance on DDG’s livestream, stressing the need for privacy and boundaries

Halle Bailey recently opened up about a personal and emotional topic concerning her 10-month-old son, Halo, who appeared on a livestream hosted by YouTuber Kai Cenat without her consent. The livestream, set up by Halo’s father and Bailey’s ex, rapper DDG, was viewed by millions, sparking Bailey’s response on X (formerly Twitter).

Bailey, who was out of town at the time, expressed her frustration over not being informed beforehand, sharing, “I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions without my consent.” The singer, known for her single "In Your Hands," emphasized her protective instincts as a mother and her ongoing journey through “severe postpartum,” which makes setting boundaries even more essential for her.

In her posts, Bailey highlighted her desire to keep her son’s privacy intact, saying, "Nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap," pointing to the emotional toll of new motherhood and the importance of respecting her role in Halo’s life.

DDG, in response to criticism that he’s “using” Halo for fame, claimed that their son’s popularity comes naturally because of his parents’ high profiles. The ex-couple, who split in October 2024 after nearly three years together, welcomed Halo in December 2023 and have been co-parenting since.

Bailey’s comments underscore the challenges of protecting privacy for young children in the spotlight and the need for clear boundaries, especially in a time when personal lives are so easily broadcasted. For many fans, Bailey’s transparency on such a sensitive issue highlights the importance of respecting each parent’s role in raising their child — even when both are public figures.
