Alec Ingold’s inspiring journey from Bay Port High School star to Miami Dolphins fullback is more than a story of athletic achievement—it’s a testament to resilience, love, and giving back.
A Hometown Hero
Ingold returned to his roots on Thanksgiving, playing at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Alec was a dual-threat quarterback at Bay Port High School, earning the title of state player of the year. He went on to play for Wisconsin, where he transitioned into a fullback during his sophomore year. His hard work paid off when he became the only fullback invited to the 2019 Senior Bowl.
An NFL Dream Come True
Though undrafted in 2019, Ingold didn’t let that stop him. He signed with the Oakland Raiders as a rookie free agent and spent three seasons there. In 2022, he joined the Miami Dolphins, where he continues to excel. Over his career, Ingold has started 38 games, scoring two rushing and four receiving touchdowns, proving his versatility and determination.
A Heartwarming Adoption Story
Alec’s life story is as remarkable as his career. Adopted at birth by Pat and Chris Ingold, he was raised in a loving home. However, like many adoptees, Alec struggled with questions about his identity and feelings of abandonment. With the unwavering support of his parents, Alec learned that adoption wasn’t about rejection but about being chosen and deeply loved.
Today, Alec cherishes the lessons from his upbringing and the bond with his adoptive parents. Now married to Alexa, Alec looks forward to building a family of his own, already showing his nurturing side with their two dogs.
Giving Back to Foster Children
Alec’s adoption journey inspired him to support kids in the foster care system. He volunteers at foster homes in Florida and raises awareness for adoptive and foster children. His efforts earned him the Raiders' nomination for the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2020.
