UFC veteran and current BKFC star Mike Perry has found himself in legal trouble after being arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Clermont, Florida. The incident occurred in the early hours of October 12, with Perry, 33, being stopped by the Clermont Police Department for speeding. According to reports, Perry was driving approximately 20 MPH over the speed limit.
The officer on duty noticed the smell of alcohol coming from Perry's vehicle, although Perry denied drinking. During their interaction, the officer mentioned that Perry's speech seemed slow, to which Perry humorously responded that the officer's speech was "fast." However, the situation took a serious turn when Perry refused to take a sobriety test. After multiple warnings, he was arrested and taken to the Clermont Police Department, where he also refused a breath test and did not sign the DUI citation, leading to additional charges.
Perry was booked at 4:36 a.m. and was released around 9:41 a.m. after posting a $1,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 30 at 8 a.m. This arrest has raised concerns among fans, given his prominent career as a "King of Violence" champion in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and his well-known run in the UFC.
