Taylor Swift's Munich Concert Draws Thousands to Olympic Hill for Free Show

Thousands of fans gathered on Olympic Hill to watch Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Munich for free

This weekend, Taylor Swift's performance in Munich, Germany, turned into a phenomenal gathering as fans swarmed Olympic Hill to watch her for free. The German leg of Swift's Eras Tour saw not only the Olympic Stadium packed with excited fans but also the surrounding areas filled with thousands more seeking a glimpse of the show.

A Sea of Swifties

Photos capturing the massive crowd on Olympic Hill, one of Munich’s highest points, went viral on social media, showing just how far fans would go to see Swift perform. Local police estimates, as reported by the Associated Press, suggest that around 25,000 fans gathered on the hill on Saturday, with some estimates reaching as high as 40,000.

Swift’s Heartfelt Acknowledgment

During her Sunday night performance, Taylor Swift acknowledged the enormous turnout. "We are lucky enough to get to play this show for 74,000 beautiful people in this stadium, and if the reports are correct, about 50,000 beautiful people outside the stadium,” she said, a moment captured in fan-shot videos.

Expressing her gratitude, Swift added, “Thank you for coming to the Eras Tour, whether you’re in the stadium or outside of the stadium. We are so lucky to be here with you. And this is actually a really special night because this is our last show in Germany. I cannot express to you how wonderful the German crowds have been to us over the last few weeks. We are so sad to be leaving you, but we will be back, we will be back to see you.”

What’s Next for the Eras Tour?

As Swift continues her Eras Tour, her next stops include three shows in Warsaw, Poland, followed by a performance in Vienna, Austria. The European leg of her tour will conclude with five shows in London, England, promising more spectacular nights for Swifties across the continent.
