Jodie Turner-Smith has openly discussed her feelings about ex-husband Joshua Jackson's new relationship with Lupita Nyong'o, highlighting the importance of happiness and peaceful co-parenting. Turner-Smith, 37, filed for divorce from Jackson last October after four years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Despite their split, the former couple agreed on joint custody of their four-year-old daughter, Juno Rose Diana Jackson.

In an interview with The Cut, Turner-Smith expressed her support for Jackson and Nyong'o, stating, "Good for them. We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent. I'm trying to get us to the Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Chris Martin level. I truly hope they're happy and that it benefits us as a family."

Turner-Smith also opened up about navigating co-parenting with Jackson and embracing her role as a single mother. "Peace is what's needed right now. Grace is what's needed right now. Love, empathy, compassion. I'm trying to be all those things and have faith that when I'm all those things, I will see that reflected back toward me," she shared.

The couple, married from 2019 until their split in 2023, both acknowledged "irreconcilable differences" in their divorce documents. Shortly after the divorce filing, Jackson, 45, and Nyong'o, 40, were photographed together at a Janelle Monae concert in Los Angeles, publicly confirming their relationship. They were later seen sharing a kiss during a trip to Mexico.

Reflecting on the end of her marriage with Jackson in a previous interview with Sunday Times Style, Turner-Smith emphasized the importance of making decisions that prioritize personal and family well-being. "The bravest thing in the world is to recognize when something's not working and to make a move," she stated. "I always want to set that kind of example for my daughter."

Turner-Smith's candid remarks underscore her commitment to finding peace and positivity amidst life's changes, setting a powerful example of resilience and empathy in co-parenting dynamics.
