Swatantra Veer Savarkar - Box Office: Randeep Hooda Film Thrives Despite Competition

Randeep Hooda's directorial debut, "Swatantra Veer Savarkar," continues to make waves at the box office, despite facing tough competition.

The film witnessed a resurgence in earnings on its ninth day, with collections soaring to ₹1.5 crore in India, as per early estimates. This spike comes after a slight dip in earnings, showcasing the movie's resilience and enduring appeal among audiences.


In its first week, "Swatantra Veer Savarkar" amassed ₹11.35 crore at the Indian box office, with the Hindi version contributing ₹11.34 crore and the Marathi version adding ₹1 lakh to the total. With an additional ₹1.1 crore on the eighth day and ₹1.5 crore on the ninth, the film's total earnings in India stand at a commendable ₹13.95 crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh highlighted the film's impressive performance despite facing competition from other releases. He noted the increase in show count at urban centers and the strategic screenings for political heavyweights, which are contributing to the film's positive word of mouth.

"Swatantra Veer Savarkar" stars Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, and Amit Sial, offering a cinematic portrayal of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's influential role during India's Independence struggle. Co-produced by notable names and released in both Hindi and Marathi on March 22, the film has struck a chord with audiences, resonating with the story of one of India's most revered freedom fighters.
